ABOUT B.ILO

The B.ilo project saw the light at the end of the '90s, when China was little more than a vision, a far-flung adventure, and nothing was set in stone yet. With no name and no formal status, it was a company (at the time a simple cooperative partnership) involved in securing the use of a limited number of plots of land as personal allocations.

A few enterprising European businessmen joined forces with crucial local partners, creating a society with the sole purpose of operating in the management of greenfield estates through an allocation system.

Unlike other chinese real estate agencies B.llo has among its partners and major stockholder an Italian, Marco Beniamino Brioschi who has been active on the local market since 1999 and charter member since 2000.

In 2000, the Chinese government issued the Concession Land law, opening windows of opportunity for private property. Through this system, personal rent gives permanent rights of use over the land and is attributed for public purposes rather than for personal use.

The first project was directed towards the creation of public leisure spaces (parks, amusement centers, cultural and entertainment sites). In 2000, when China joined the WTO, private property suddenly became a concrete possibility: the aforementioned plots, allocated to our Cooperative, were turned into concession contracts under to the name of a new company, B.ilo (in the same period, a new law was issued, allowing for the creation of private companies in foreign and local joint venture). This meant that land could be used for commercial purposes; soon, construction works began.

Thanks to agreements which were already in place, once the first buildings were ready, contractors gave B.ilo the right of ownership of part of the buildings, which could then be sold or rented out. At the same time, the rest of the developments were assigned to the following subsidiary companies:

1.SOU FUN, working exclusively in the People's Republic of China in real estate projects. It is involved in the management of rentals, the collection of payments over B.ILO's properties, as well as in furnishing the apartments.

2.FU-HOY, working exclusively in the People's Republic of China. It operates maintenance of indoor and outdoor areas of the Buildings (flowerbeds, swimming pools, common areas). Furthermore, it operates other services such as cleaning, surveillance, and reception.

3.BEN ETHIP, involved in the bankruptcy auctions which represent an important, continuously evolving, part of the real estate market in China.

B.ilo continues to expand its activities, purchasing and developing commercial and residential properties in various areas of China and abroad. Recently, B.ilo is diversifying its portfolio in other Far East countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea and Mongolia.
